They’re coming for you Neo

When “Neo” the allegorical Savior figure played by Keanu Reeves first meets the films John the Baptist type figure “Morpheus” Lawrence Fishburne says,

“This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill—the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill—you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember: all I’m offering is the truth. Nothing more.” ~ Morpheus – The Matrix 1999

The red pill and its opposite, the blue pill, are popular culture symbols representing the choice between embracing the sometimes painful truth of reality (red pill) and the blissful ignorance of illusion (blue pill). Redpills are people who have chosen to face reality, while bluepills remain living in ignorance of the truth, whether by choice or because they have not had a choice. ~ Wikipedia

Our Political system in the USA is comprised of two major Parties.

The Republicans (RED) and Democrats (BLUE)

In my years of engaging in spiritual, ideological, and political discourse with Democrats I am convinced that most of them have chosen the blue pill, or remain ignorant simply because they have not yet realized they have a choice. When faced with facts, statistics and actual irrefutable evidence they by-in-large change the subject, if cornered they call you names, if you remain undaunted by their barbs, they simply go silent. Indeed, they seem to have no real interest in seeing obvious truth.

The rabbit hole is indeed much deeper than most realize. Americans (and indeed the world) have become enslaved by entertainment, their devices, pornography, alcohol, sports, gambling and virtually anything that would distract them from the “World that has been pulled over their eyes”.

Take the red pill, step back, look at the nightmare around you and free yourself from the “machine”. Then fight to free those who slumber still.
